Statement of Purpose

  We are a glorifying Church, Christ-centered, Holy Spirit-empowered, Word-based, people saved by Grace, Church of the Living God, baptized believers who follow the vision of Christ and the Bishop, who walk in the Spirit and who are led by the Spirit.

We believe here in God's house, there is peace for tired minds, rest for weary bodies, compassion for suffering humanity and forgiveness for repentant sinners.

\/~Te believe the Bible is God's eternal word. Yes, we read it to be blessed, believe it to be saved, practice it to be holy, study it to be wise, trust it to be safe, follow it to be sure, and apply it to be victorious.

\i\re believe that where there is no vision the people will perish. The vision for First Baptist Lincoln Park is:

A Loving Church, An Evangelistic Church, A Friendly

Church, A Well-Trained Church, A Lively Church, A

Praying Church, A Growing Church, A Tithing Church, A

Faithful Church, Spirit-Filled and Spirit-Led Church.So it is in keeping with the Vision that we assist the Pastor by spreading the Gospel, working, sharing and participating together as one body in Christ.

It is in the support of the Pastor's Vision that we set a good example for those within and outside the Membership of First Baptist Church Lincoln Park.
